As per Skymet Weather, a north-south trough is extending from Sub-Himalayan West Bengal up to Interior Odisha across Gangetic West Bengal. Also, a cyclonic circulation has been persisting over East Bangladesh and adjoining areas. Due to the close proximity of these combined weather systems with the state, it is anticipated that light to moderate rains are likely over the entire state.

These Monsoon rains are likely to continue for the next two days. Sub Himalayan West Bengal will record more rains as compared to Gangetic West Bengal. Places such as Siliguri and Cooch Behar in Sub Himalayan West Bengal will witness good showers.
