Rain Rajasthan post

For the past few days, eastern parts of Rajasthan have recorded Monsoon rain and thundershowers but during the same time frame, West Rajasthan witnessed dry and warm weather conditions.

The weather conditions over eastern districts can be attributed to the well-marked low pressure area that lies over central parts of North Madhya Pradesh, which is moving west-northwestwards.

So, in wake of this weather system, light to moderate rain and thundershowers will continue over the region during the next 24 hours. With this, temperatures will also plunge significantly. As per Skymet Weather; Alwar, Baran, Bharatpur, Bundi, Dausa, Dholpur, Jaipur, Jhalawar, Karauli, Kota, Sawai Madhopur and Tonk may witness Monsoon rains.

On the other hand, West Rajasthan will continue with dry weather. Places such as Jaisalmer, Barmer, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Churu and Ganganagar will reel under this weather condition. However, a trivial decrease in the day temperatures is expected over the region during the next 24 hours.

While day maximums in eastern districts will hover around 31-32 degrees, western districts will register day temperatures of 36-37 degrees.

Similarly, minimum temperatures will settle in the range 24-25 degrees over East Rajasthan, whereas western districts will witness night temperatures of 25-26 degrees.

As on September 21, the entire state of Rajasthan is rain surplus by 11 percent and if we look at the rain statistics sub-divisionally, West Rajasthan is rain surplus by an excess of 42 percent, whereas East Rajasthan is normal by minus 6 percent.
