Second half of April to see twin Western Disturbances for hills

Dry weather has generally been seen over the hills in the last few days but there is a weak Western Disturbance now, the system is mild and will give isolated weather activity today. Thereafter, three days of no weather activity is expected.

After April 15, a fresh System is expected which will last a little longer. In fact, twin systems will be seen moving in tandem wherein the first one will be seen around April 15 and the second one will immediately follow after April 17. The combined effect will be seen without any breaks over the hills including Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Ladakh.

Weather activity will be moderate around April 15 and 17, especially over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Ladakh. Uttarakhand will be slightly less affected in comparison. The activity will extend beyond April 18.

The lower hilly regions of these states including Srinagar, Shimla, Dalhousie, Dharamsala, Nainital, Manali and adjoining areas will see rain and thundershowers after April 17. The plains will only see its effect in terms of suppression of temperatures.
