Uttar Pradesh weather update

A Western Disturbance has induced a Cyclonic Circulation over Punjab and Haryana. Its effect is being felt over the western parts of Uttar Pradesh. Particularly, the Northwest districts of Uttar Pradesh have received good rains and thundershowers in the last 24 hours. Isolated pockets have witnessed hailstorm activities as well. Places like Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Nazibabad, Saharanpur and their adjoining areas have witnessed good rains.

Now, the affecting Western Disturbance will gradually move away. Its induced Cyclonic Circulation will also become weak. Therefore, rain and thundershower activity will also subside. However, until tonight we expect on and off rains to continue in the Northwest districts of the state. Bareilly, Moradabad and Rampur may also receive short spells of rain.

The weather will start clearing up from tomorrow i.e. November 29.

Minimum temperatures which at present are above normal will also witness a decreasing trend tomorrow onward as winds from Northwest direction will commence over the state. Initially, northwest and western districts of Uttar Pradesh will experience a drop of two to three degrees in the minimums. The central and eastern parts will see a drop in minimums in the subsequent days. The night temperature in isolated pockets may come down to settle in single digit over the next few days marking the onset of winters in Uttar Pradesh.
