Weather across the globe will vary as per seasons as well as climatic patterns. Let us get to know that where will it rain and where will snow make an entrance and cause slippery roads and icy paths, also where will the residents bake under the scorching sun.

California will be under a spell of storm systems this week that will send rounds of soaking rain across the state and snow in the higher terrain. It is believed that the storms will be guided toward California through a strong jet stream over the Pacific Ocean.

Each storm will bring an increasing risk of flooding and mudslides as snow further buries the mountains, making travel increasingly difficult. Not only this, the storm has full potential to drop several inches of rain in the foothills east of the Sacramento Valley. Whereas, in the mountains, there can be at least a couple yards of snow in the high country of the central and southern Sierra. The harder part is that at the time of such weather, the Pacific Highway gets shut down leading to travel delays.

Brutal winter weather conditions have battered much of Europe and the “significant and disruptive” snow is set to continue across parts of the continent.

Austria has been facing incessant rain and snow since the last few days. This place is known for skiing and as per the reports three German skiers have been killed in an avalanche in Austria and a fourth is still missing as snowfall set in again in the northern Alps.

A very strong storm will take aim at areas to Turkey, bringing snow to some areas that do not get wintry weather often.

While areas of rain and mountain snow moved across parts of Turkey and the Middle East over the last weekend, adverse weather may ramp up significantly in these areas this week.

As per Skymet Weather, a potent storm will take aim at areas to Israel, Syria and Jordan, bringing snow to some areas that do not get wintry weather often. Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan this mid-week onward will go in for unpleasantly cold and wet weather. The Western Disturbance will affect this region which will eventually affect the northern regions of our country as well. As per Skymet Weather, this mid-week the upper reaches of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and isolated pockets of Uttarakhand might just witness heavy spell of rain or snow for this season.

Not only this, the Northeast Monsoon have yet not bid adieu in Sri Lanka and Maldives. These places are going to witness good rains in the first half of this week and eventually the rains will be seen in the equatorial countries as well, i.e. in Indonesia and Malaysia.

It has been predicted by the meteorologists that much of Australia will bake this week in super-hot conditions. Australia’s Bureau of Meteorology said that hot days were expected in January but numerous days in a row of temperatures above 40°C were unusual.

Low-intensity heatwave conditions have been forecast across parts of central Western Australia to southern parts of the Northern Territory, southwestern Queensland and across New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia.
