A Western Disturbance is seen over Jammu and Kashmir. Its induced cyclonic circulation is over Central Pakistan and Punjab.

A trough is also extending from this system up to Northeastern states across Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

Due to this, scattered rain and thundershower activities are expected over Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. Isolated rains may also occur along the well- marked trough line.

Severe heatwave conditions will continue to grip central India. Eventually, there will be a marginal drop in the temperatures over these regions but heatwave is not likely to abate.

Moving in east and northeast region, a cyclonic circulation is over Bihar that would continue to give good rains over northeastern states, Sub- Himalayan West Bengal and Bihar. Lightning strikes and hailstorms are also possible over these areas.

Kolkata too stand a chance to witness pre-Monsoon activities.

Down south, due to a trough extending from Bihar to Tamil Nadu across Odisha and Andhra Pradesh, light rain and thundershowers are expected over coastal Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and South Interior Karnataka including Bangalore.
