Weather Forecast for April 3: Rain in Kashmir, heat wave to abate in Maharashtra, Telangana

A fresh Western Disturbance is approaching North India and is now lying over Afghanistan and adjoining areas. While, it’s induced cyclonic circulation is over Central Pakistan and adjoining South Punjab.

With this, we can expect good rain and snow over Jammu and Kashmir, while Himachal Pradesh will have showers of less intensity.

Meanwhile, northwestern plains of North Punjab and Haryana will have isolated light rain on Sunday. Delhi and South Rajasthan could also see dust storm and light thundershowers from Sunday night.

A cyclonic circulation is marked over Bangladesh and adjoining Meghalaya region that will continue to bring rain over southern parts of Northeast India on Sunday.

Another cyclonic circulation is seen over Gangetic West Bengal and a trough is extending up to Kerala covering several parts of East and Peninsular India.

Accordingly, we can expect rain and thundershowers accompanied with squally winds over Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Coastal Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, South Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha region of Maharashtra, Telangana, Karnataka and Kerala on Sunday.

These showers will also be responsible for the abatement of heat wave like conditions over Interior Peninsular India as day temperatures will take a dip.
