Weather Forecast for July 14: Monsoon covers entire India; rain in Delhi, Uttarakhand, Chennai

Southwest Monsoon has finally covered the entire country. As of today the Monsoon rains are excess by 4%.

Meanwhile, the low pressure area over Madhya Pradesh has become less marked and merged with the axis of the Monsoon trough. This trough is moving across Amritsar, Delhi, Allahabad and right up to Northeast India with an embedded cyclonic circulation over East Uttar Pradesh.

Tomorrow, we can expect Monsoon showers across Punjab, Punjab, Haryana and Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Northeast India. Intensity of rainfall will be more over this region comprising of East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and North Chhattisgarh. Jharkhand and West Bengal will receive scattered rains. Uttarakhand should watch out for few heavy spells of rain over the next 2 days.

The Monsoon surge will get enhanced over the Northeastern states as the Monsoon trough moves further up and lie close to the foothills of the Himalayas, possibly after 48 hours.

Rains have reduced significantly over Central India. This entire region will remain mostly dry for the next 4 to 5 days.

The off shore trough remains along the West Coast but good showers are likely only in Kerala. Chennai rains will make a comeback but Monsoon will remain subdued over rest of Peninsular India.
