Weather Forecast for July 2: Rains to continue in Delhi, Haryana, Karnataka, Goa

July 1, 2016 5:18 PM |

There are series of weather systems that are affecting North and Central India. Starting with the cyclonic circulation of the low pressure area, the system has moved further west-northwestwards and is now marked over East Madhya Pradesh, North Chhattisgarh and adjoining areas. While another feeble cyclonic circulation is seen over North Madhya Pradesh and Southwest Uttar Pradesh.

The western disturbance is also affecting Jammu and Kashmir, while its induced cyclonic circulation is over Central Pakistan. Now a trough is running through all these circulations across Punjab, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and further up to Bay of Bengal.

In addition to this, the weather system in Arabian Sea continues to push humid winds over Gujarat and Rajasthan. Accordingly, we can expect some intense rains over Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana, North Madhya Pradesh and parts of Punjab on Saturday. While, moderate to heavy Monsoon showers over East and Central Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh and light to moderate rains over Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha. With this, weather conditions are highly favourable for Monsoon to progress any time soon and cover entire Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, most parts of Gujarat and Rajasthan barring few parts of West Rajasthan.

Meanwhile, active Monsoon conditions will prevail along West Coast on account of the off-shore trough. With this, good rains will be witnessed along the coastline with isolated heavy showers. While intensity of Monsoon rains will decrease over interiors of Peninsular India and only light rains are likely.
