Weather Forecast for June 5: Good rains to continue over Kerala, Karnataka, heatwave in North India

The cyclonic circulation continues to persist in Arabian Sea over Coastal Karnataka and Kerala, giving good rains over the West Coast. Moving northwards, the system will continue giving good rains over Coastal Karnataka, Konkan & Goa on Sunday. However intensity will light over the Kerala. Another cyclonic circulation is also prevailing over South Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha and Telangana. With this, fairly widespread rain and thundershowers over Chhattisgarh, South Odisha, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana. Since both the systems are existing in close proximity, also leading to increase in rain all over the interior Peninsular India including Interior Karnataka, Rayalaseema, Vidarbha, and Marathwada.

Up in North India, we can see a cyclonic circulation over Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand but this system will not bring any weather over the region. Northwestern plains will continue to reel under high day temperatures on account of dry and hot northwesterly blowing from Rajasthan and Punjab.

Heatwave conditions will also increase its ambit and include parts of Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh. While, rain in Vidarbha will bring relief from the soaring mercury on Sunday.
