Weather Forecast May 29: Heat wave likely in Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat, MP, Telangana

May 28, 2019 6:45 PM |

In Kerala, Southwest Monsoon is going to miss its normal onset date of June 1 and will not reach the state before June 4. But due to the trough extending across Rayalaseema, Andhra Pradesh and South Interior Karnataka, scattered light to moderate rains will continue over parts of Kerala, South Interior Karnataka and isolated parts of Rayalaseema and Coastal Andhra Pradesh. Weather of Telangana will be very hot with heat wave conditions over many places.

In East/Northeast India, a cyclonic circulation lies over East Bihar and another cyclonic circulation over Assam and adjoining area. Therefore, we expect light to moderate rains over West Assam, Meghalaya and Sikkim. Light rains are likely over few places of rest northeastern states. West Bengal and parts of Bihar may also receive isolated light rains. Weather of Jharkhand, Bihar and most parts of Odisha will be dry and hot.

In North India, due to the absence of any significant weather system, dry weather will continue over entire north and northwest India. Heat wave conditions are expected over few places of Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, and West Uttar Pradesh.

Due to dry and warm northwesterly winds, weather in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh will remain dry and very hot. Heat wave will prevail in scattered parts of Vidarbha, Madhya Pradesh, and North Chhattisgarh. However, due to a cyclonic circulation over South Chhattisgarh, light rains may appear over the region.
