The weekend is here and the best part for cricket fans is the biggest cricket carnival of the year, the Indian Premier League. While fans of the Royal Challengers Bangalore may be upset, the Kolkata Knight Riders fans may be rejoicing with the team on the top spot at present.
Other teams including the Mumbai Indians, The Sunrisers Hyderabad and the Rising Pune Supergiant are on the top four. Meanwhile, the Delhi Daredevils, Gujarat Lions and the Kings XI Punjab are at the bottom three.
Today, the first match is being played between the top scorers Kolkata Knight Riders and the Delhi Daredevils. Rain threat does loom large over the match. However, it is only expected to affect the match in the beginning.
The second match will be played in Mohali between the Kings XI Punjab and the Sunrisers Hyderabad. The match is scheduled to begin at 8:00 PM (IST) and will be played at the Punjab Cricket Association Stadium.
Weatherwise, the city of Mohali will witness cloudy weather conditions. Temperatures will remain between 27 and 31 degrees. While during the early hours, temperatures will be in the early 30s, thereafter, the temperatures will fall to late 20s.
As Pre-Monsoon activity are in line, the possibility of a few thunderstorms during the beginning of the match cannot be ruled out. However, the match may not be affected as such.
