Bengaluru rains to begin anytime now, more in offing for next 3-4 days

Rain in BangaloreWith Monsoon 2017 picking up pace over Karnataka, rains of varying intensity have been drenching the state capital of Bengaluru for the last many days.

In fact, ever since the beginning of September, the garden city has been recording rains consecutively. In span of first 7 days, the city has already recorded 208.3 mm of rain against its monthly average of 212.8 mm of rain.

According to Skymet Weather, a cyclonic circulation is seen over southwest Bay of Bengal off Tamil Nadu coast. This weather system will move in westerly direction towards North Tamil Nadu and adjoining parts of Rayalaseema and South Interior Karnataka.

With this, weather conditions have been conducive for rain and thundershowers over the city and nearby areas. The sky has been overcast with low and medium clouds and rains are likely to begin anytime soon.

As per weathermen, we expect moderate showers over many places with one or two heavy spells over South Interior Karnataka including Bengaluru.

These sporadic showers are expected to continue till next three- four days till September 10. During this period, many places will record good rains, paving way for extremely weather conditions.

Sky will also be partly cloudy to cloudy becoming overcast at times. Thereafter, weather system will move away and as a result, rain intensity will also reduce significantly but light rains will continue over the city.
