The state of Gujarat will experience clear weather days from now on. Entire region remains free from any significant weather activity for the post monsoon- winter months. Occasionally, cyclonic storm in the Arabian Sea swirls near the coastline, albeit with small frequency. Also, 1600 km long coastline of the state increases the variability of weather conditions from dry and pleasant in the interiors to warm and sultry all along the seashore.
Southwest monsoon has completely withdrawn from the state. Cessation of rains and proximity of Tropic of Cancer leads to 2nd summer for the state, lasting for about 2 weeks or so. Most parts turn rather pleasant after the 3rd week of October. State remain far from the reach of western disturbances of North India but the cool winds from the north, blowing across Rajasthan, do reach most parts , as the season progress.
The hinterland of North & Central Gujarat, along with deep areas of Saurashtra & Kutch are experiencing warm days with mercury in excess of 35°C and breaching 38°C mark at few places. However, nights are turning pleasant with temperature dropping to about 20°C. Coastal stations of Saurashtra & Kutch and South Gujarat continue to have relatively warm and humid conditions with mercury ranging between 24°C and 34°C. This pattern will continue till end of this month before they start easing out in November.
Fair weather conditions with nearly cloudless sky is predicted for the entire state, except coastline of South Gujarat. This part of the state will also witness clear weather conditions after 21st Oct. Sea breeze all along the coast will become prominent due to temperature differential. Heat of 2nd summer will get subdued and later turn pleasant for 2nd half of November.
