Dense fog witnessed over parts of East India

Since last two days many part of North India witnessed foggy morning. Dense fog was witnessed over many parts of Delhi, Haryana and Rajasthan, but as of today morning, that doesn’t seem to be the case. The fog build over North India has thinned down drastically and dense fog is now witnessed over most parts of East India.

Parts of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar even few areas of Andhra Pradesh and Odisha saw fog build up today morning. Due to dense fog, the visibility dropped to almost 50 meters in many areas of the aforementioned regions.

Gaya in Bihar, Varanasi and Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh visibility dropped to 50 meters today morning. Even Bhubaneswar witnessed a foggy morning with visibility dropping to 50 meters. Isolated places in North India still witnessed fog build up like Jammu witnessed visibility dropping to 300 meters. Lahore in Pakistan witnessed dense fog with visibility of 50 meters.

Due to fog build up over Delhi, the visibility at Palam airport dropped to 100 meters.

As per the areas mentioned, scattered areas of the country witnessed fog build up. This foggy weather is very much likely to clear up by tomorrow morning from most areas of the country.  As the Western Disturbance over Jammu and Kashmir has moved away paving way for the northerly cold and dry winds.
