In a span of last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Saturday, Surat merely recorded rainfall of 5 mm. While the remaining parts of Gujarat and Rajasthan continued to observe no good spells of rain.

The reason for such dry weather conditions can be attributed to a trough of low which is seen over Konkan & Goa Coast. Further, under the influence of cyclonic circulation over Maharashtra region this trough is likely to extend up to Gujarat Coast.

Due to this weather system, light to moderate rain and thundershowers are likely to make a show over southeast districts of Gujarat during the next 24 hours.

In the meantime, remaining parts of Gujarat and the entire state of Rajasthan is affected by dry and warm winds. Thus, the weather conditions over these two states are expected to remain dry and very warm for the coming days as well.

On the other hand, the weather over Saurashtra and Kutch region will continue to remain dry and hot for the next couple of days until any significant weather system is likely to affect the region.

Moreover, maximum temperatures are soaring around 39-40 degrees Celsius. While the minimum temperatures are likely to remain around 21-25 degree Celsius.
