Diwali ended on a dry note for the entire state of Maharashtra, as dry winds still persist over the state.

Vidarbha has remained dry throughout the festive season with rain deficiency recorded at 99%, followed by Marathwada at 87%, Madhya Maharashtra at 69% and Konkan & Goa at 57%.

A few on and off showers were observed over Madhya Maharashtra as well as Konkan & Goa. However, chances of heavy spells over these regions have been completely ruled out and in the coming days too, these areas will remain arid.

Talking about the temperatures, minimums are below normal over most places in Maharashtra. Particularly, Vidarbha and parts of Marathwada have minimums below normal by 3℃-4℃ whereas, maximums are above normal over these areas by 2℃-4℃.

Moreover, the difference between day and night temperatures I.e diurnal variation is also quite high.

While nights are cool, days remain warm and sunny.

In fact, few places of Vidarbha and Marathwada such as Nagpur, Parbhani and Aurangabad are even experiencing lower minimums than Delhi, where minimums over these areas are 12℃,while Delhi is much warmer by 14℃.

Further, in the absence of any significant weather system, no major change in the temperatures of Maharashtra is expected and the state will continue to face dry weather conditions in near future too.
