More Delhi rains to pour in today; weather to become pleasant

Take out your umbrellas as Delhi rains are all set to be back

Fresh spells of rain lashed several parts of Delhi and the National Capital Region on Friday, bringing major respite from the oppressive warm and humid weather. The city observed a partly cloudy sky, which quickly grew overcast. Light to moderate rains and thundershowers dropped the temperatures to around 30 degree Celsius.

As per Skymet Weathermen, the well marked low pressure area which is seen prevailing over eastern parts of Rajasthan, leading to weakening further and will move towards westwards. Hence, the axis of Monsoon trough is likely to shift in the northern latitudes over Delhi and NCR region.

In association with this weather system, a Western Disturbance is seen lying over North Pakistan and adjoining areas. Due to this, light to moderate rains and thundershowers may continue to occur over Delhi and NCR region including places such as Noida, Ghaziabad, Faridabad and Gurugram. The intensity of these rainfall activities may also increase significantly.

Furthermore, Delhi and NCR regions are expected to witness moderate to heavy rains and thundershowers until July 31. Till then, pleasant weather conditions will keep the warm and humid weather giving residents some relief.
