The month of October ended on a dry note for Mumbai as Mumbaikars continuously battled hot and dry weather conditions. Rain deficiency was very high in Mumbai, with the Santa Cruz observatory recording only 4 mm of rainfall in October against the normal showers of 89 mm rains.

The month of November too commenced on a dry note for the city, The normal rains for November also reduces significantly and stands around 9.9 mm.

However, a trough is expected to form from Karnataka to North Madhya Maharashtra which might induce scattered rainfall activities over Madhya Maharashtra and Konkan & Goa. Similarly, light rains may occur over Mumbai and adjoining areas around November 4-5.

These light rains might bring a marginal relief for Mumbaikars from ongoing hot and sultry weather conditions. However, once the trough becomes insignificant, aridness will again set in.

Talking about the figures, the monthly average of maximum temperatures in November will remain at 33.7°C, while minimums at 21.3°C.

Moreover, winters are expected to commence around November 15. By that time, we expect day temperatures to start dropping and weather to become cool.
