Rain and thundershowers in Delhi-NCR today to bring more reliefDelhi weather has been playing hide and seek for the past few days and residents could not have been any happier with the sudden change in the air. While the mercury levels were soaring sky high with mercury going even beyond the 40-degree mark, weather gods have decided to give the national capital a breather in the form of some rainfall activity.

Yesterday as well, Delhi and the NCR region did observe some thunderstorm activity. Due to overnight rain and thunderstorms, temperatures have come down by quite a few notches. In fact, the mercury settled at around 26 degrees at present.

These weather conditions are attributed to the presence of a trough which is running in close proximity of the Delhi and the NCR region. The next few days are expected to be rainy for the national capital.

As per weathermen at Skymet, cloudy weather with the possibility of a couple of spells of rain, thunderstorms during the next few hours until forenoon cannot be ruled out. Thereafter, weather will clear up and sunshine may even come up.

However, there is a strong possibility of a few spells of thunderstorms, rain during the late afternoon hours today. These weather conditions will continue until the end of April. In fact, the intensity of rains is expected to increase. In fact between April 29 and 30, good rains and thundershowers are expected to occur over the national.

This means that Delhi and the NCR region will continue to witness comfortable weather conditions at least for a few more days. The end of April will be both rainy and free from the scorching summer heat.
