Rainy Weekend For Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Downpour At Many Places

Heavy rains are likely over West Madhya Pradesh, West Uttar Pradesh today. Weather activity will increase its spread and intensity to cover national capital Delhi on 20th, 21stand 22ndAugust. Bundelkhand region divided between the states of Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh is expected to be lashed with very heavy rains on 20th and 21st Aug. The fury of these rains will reduce  0n the subsequent days.

Remnant of the low pressure area is now marked over central Madhya Pradesh as a cyclonic circulation. This feature has revived the monsoon activity over central region covering Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Gujarat. Further, it is going to extend reach over Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Rajasthan, Haryana and Uttarakhand.

Moderate to heavy rains are likely over many places over these states for the next 3 days. Thereafter, the monsoon trough will shift again north of its normal position, close to the foothills. In such a scenario, the rainfall will be confined to Indo Gangetic Plains covering Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal.

Northwest Madhya Pradesh and West & Southwest Uttar Pradesh are expected to have heavy downpour at many places. Gwalior, Guna, Sheopur, Shivpuri, Ashoknagar, Bhind, Morena, Datia, Tikamgarh, Rajgarh, Vidisha, Shajapur, Raisen and  Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh are likely to have heavy rains.  

Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Hapur, Muradabad, Bijnor, Bareilly, Aligarh, Agra, Mathura and Jhansi in Uttar Pradesh will also experience similar weather activity during this period. Delhi/ NCR region will also be lashed with moderate to heavy intermittent rains on 20th and 21st Aug and reduce later on. Incessant and heavy rains over some locations may result localized flooding  disrupting connectivity.
