Southwest Monsoon comes to an end, Mumbai rains refuse to stopThe curtain for the Southwest has been drawn and the four month long Monsoon has finally come to an end. Good rains were witnessed over the entire state of Maharashtra. In fact, Mumbai rains have displayed an extraordinary performance.

While it may seem like Mumbai rains will end since the Southwest Monsoon has officially ended. However, it’s the Mumbai rains that have decided to stay. The city has been witnessing good showers and conditions are expected to remain the same for some more time.

At present, a cyclonic circulation is over South Chhattisgarh and adjoining areas of Vidarbha and Telangana. Not only this, Southwest Monsoon has not yet withdrawn from Mumbai. Thus, the city of dreams has been witnessing good Monsoon rains.

During the entire Southwest Monsoon, Mumbai has received excess rains. In fact, the city is witnessing a rainfall surplus of over 20 percent. Mumbai rains have also given us some records to break during the Southwest Monsoon season.

Now, Mumbai rains will not be counted in the Monsoon season and will only be called post Monsoon showers. During the next 24 to 48 hours, the city is expected to witness more rains of light to moderate intensity.
