Weather Forecast for December 29: Temperatures to increase in Delhi, Northwestern Plains

The Western Disturbance affecting the hilly region has finally moved away. With this, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand will witness clear weather conditions with good sunshine on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the northwestern plains including Delhi would record increase in maximum and minimum temperatures during next 24 hours. All thanks to an anticyclonic circulation prevailing over Southeast Rajasthan and adjoining areas. Also under its influence, cold wave conditions over isolated parts of Central India will now abate due to rise in temperatures.

Present weather conditions has led to decrease in moisture levels and as a result Indo-Gangetic plains will continue to witness fog free mornings. However, isolated places may witness shallow to moderate fog on Tuesday.

In Northeast India, the cyclonic circulation over Tripura and adjoining areas continues to persist. However due to lack of moisture incursion from Bay of Bengal only isolated showers can be recorded.

The trough of low has moved closer to the Indian coast. It is now marked over southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas. This will give scattered light to moderate rain and thundershowers over South Coastal Tamil Nadu and isolated activity over South Kerala on Tuesday. Remaining parts of Peninsular India will continue to be mainly dry.
