Delhi NCR braces for rains, pleasant days ahead

March 7, 2017 6:20 PM |

Rain in DelhiFresh spell of rain is all set to drench Delhi-NCR, commencing tomorrow. According to Skymet Weather, weather conditions are likely to become conducive by Wednesday, with isolated light rains making an appearance during the latter part of the day.

By March 9, the national capital could witness scattered rain and thundershowers, bringing down the day temperatures.

Both the intensity and spread of rains are likely to increase significantly. On March 10 and March 11, Delhi-NCR could see some good showers of moderate intensity. The weather activity of varying intensity is likely to continue till March 13.

Weathermen predict that the city could also witness some spells of thunderstorms during this period.

This upcoming spell of rains will pave way for pleasant conditions in the coming days. Maximum temperatures are likely to plunge by at least 4-5 degrees and could settle around 23°C by Friday. Meanwhile, mornings will be cool as minimum temperatures will hover around 10°C.

The change in weather conditions could be attributed to the fresh Western Disturbance over Jammu and Kashmir. The system has induced a cyclonic circulation over North Rajasthan and adjoining areas.

Now, a trough is likely to develop from North Rajasthan and adjoining Haryana up to East Uttar Pradesh and Bihar across Delhi-NCR.

All these weather systems combined together will result in rain across the northern plains of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi-NCR, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.
