The city received a mere 0.2 mm of rain against the monthly average of 13 mm. So much so that the temperatures crossed the 40-degree mark on several occasions.

Several areas in the Northwestern Plains including Punjab, Haryana, North Rajasthan and adjoining West Uttar Pradesh may also observe similar weather conditions. However, there will be no immediate effect on the temperatures of these areas. There may be a marginal drop in the maximums due to the weather activity during the next 48 hours.
