January 4, 2020 1:48 PM |

rain in Rajasthan

During the last 24 hours, dry weather conditions prevailed over most parts of Rajasthan. The sky conditions were partly cloudy to cloudy over eastern parts of Rajasthan while other parts saw a mainly clear sky with bright sunshine. During the early morning hours, moderate to dense fog occurred at isolated places over northern parts of Rajasthan.

Presently, the Western Disturbance as an upper air Trough is moving across higher latitudes. This system is likely to move away during the next 24 hours. Hence, night temperatures will be decreasing marginally over northern parts of Rajasthan tomorrow onward.

On January 5, moderate to dense fog is also expected at scattered places over northern parts of Rajasthan like Sikar, Churu, Alwar, Dausa, Sri Ganganagar and Hanumangarh.

Soon after the passing of the present Western Disturbance, another system will approach Central Pakistan in quick succession. Thus, light spells of rain and thundershowers would be affecting Northwest parts of Rajasthan after 24 to 30 hours. Places like Sri Ganganagar, Hanumangarh and Bikaner may experience these rainfall activities towards night hours on January 5. Thereafter, rainfall activity will be spreading over to some more parts of Northwest Rajasthan.

On the other hand, other parts of the state would remain dry with partly cloudy sky conditions.
