The weather system over the country:

The Western disturbance is a cyclonic circulation over east Afghanistan between 3.1 and 5.8 Km above mean Sea level with a trough aloft in upper tropospheric westerly winds with its axis at 7.6 Km above mean Sea level roughly along longitude 65 degrees east to the north of latitude 30° north.

The induced cyclonic circulation is over northwest Rajasthan.

Another cyclonic circulation is over northeast Assam.

A cyclonic circulation persists over Bangladesh and adjoining areas.

The trough extends from northeast Jharkhand to south Chhattisgarh.

A trough/wind discontinuity from eastern parts of Vidarbha to North Kerala across Madhya Maharashtra and interior Karnataka extending up to 1.5 Km above mean Sea level.

A cyclonic Circulation is over the Gulf of Mannar and the adjoining area.

Weather Activity in the last 24 hours:

During the last 24 hours, Light to moderate rain and snowfall with a few heavy spells occurred over Jammu Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Muzaffarabad.
Light to moderate rain and snowfall occurred over Himachal Pradesh, and Arunachal Pradesh, and isolated over Uttarakhand.

Light to moderate rain and thunderstorms occurred over North Punjab, Sikkim, Vidarbha, Marathwada, coastal Odisha, and northeast India.

Light rainfall occurred over north Haryana, east Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, interior Odisha, Lakshadweep, and Kerala.

Heatwave conditions occurred in many places with isolated severe heatwave conditions occurring over Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar, and Odisha.

Heatwave conditions occurred in parts of Kerala, Konkan and Goa, Rayalaseema, and Telangana.

Weather Activity in the next 24 hours:

During the next 24 hours, Light to moderate rain and snowfall are possible at many places over Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Ladakh, Jammu Kashmir, and Himachal Pradesh during the next 24 hours.

Isolated heavy spells of rain and snowfall may occur over Jammu Kashmir. Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, and parts of Himachal Pradesh on April 29.

Light rain is possible over Uttarakhand.

Light to moderate rain and snowfall is possible over Arunachal Pradesh.

Scattered light rain with one or two moderate spells may occur over Northeast India.

Rain and thunderstorms are possible over parts of Vidarbha, Marathwada, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, and South Odisha.

Light to moderate rain and thunderstorms with isolated hailstorms may occur over the Northern parts of Punjab.

Light rain and thunderstorms are possible over north Haryana and Northwest Rajasthan.
